Design
At first glance, this product looks like it was well-made and sturdy. The golden pup’s fur feels very soft & realistic. Its golden coat has a beautiful sheen.
For both aesthetics and practicality, Joy For All succeeded in designing this product with exceptional quality.

The length of the golden pup is 11 cm (4″), width is 21 cm (8″), height is 23 cm (9″) and it weighs approx. 1.8 kg.
Key Features
Dog Movements
This robotic pet’s realistic movements are what gives it its charm. For example, you can feel a heartbeat, see it blink, turn its head and wag its tail just like a real dog.
Sadly, Joy For All dogs do not walk but you can alternate your golden pup between sitting and standing postures.
Dog Sounds
The pup makes realistic noises based on your interaction such as voice or motion. It makes delightful whines, barks and growls like a real puppy.

Sensors
The built-in sensors & microphone detect motion and voice which enable the pup to respond to your attention and affection. For example, if you pet or stroke it, then it will show appreciation by nuzzling your hand and moving its head up & down.

Practicality
Setup
Since Joy For All purposely designed this dog for easy use, you don’t have to do any tedious steps before first use. The batteries are already pre-installed within the dog’s tummy.
All you need to do is turn the pup over and locate the power switch on its underside, next to the battery compartment and fabric flap.
You can easily flip the power switch from OFF to ON. And that’s it! You can turn the pup back over and place it on your lap or a flat surface.
Switches
I like the fact that Joy For All has used a 3-way switch (ON/MUTE/OFF) for their golden pup product. This is great because it provides a range of control and makes the settings easy to understand even for beginners.
Slide the switch to ON for full sound and motion features.
To experience your pup’s motion features without the sound, slide the power switch to MUTE.
To save battery life, if you are not going to be interacting with your pup for several days, slide the power switch to OFF.
Safety
Joy For All has taken great care to ensure that this product is safe from danger by adding essential safety features such as a fabric flap and a screw to securely lock the batteries compartment.
To avoid any accidental falls, do not put your companion pet dog on the ground or close to any trip hazards. When not in use, place your golden pup on an raised surface, especially at night time.

Experience
After I switched the golden pup ON, I was amazed with the similarities and characteristics of a real dog.
If you try petting it, the little pup’s eyes light up and it responds with a distinctive “Woof!” as well as gestures such as head movements and tail wagging which gives this product realism.
My grandmother loves this product because she can play with or cuddle it on her own and let her friends interact with the dog too. This brought some happiness into her life since she felt lonely after losing my grandfather.
Battery Life
A set of new batteries can last around 3 months, depending on the frequency of use. You can prolong the battery life by switching your golden pup to either MUTE mode or OFF, when not in use.
Cost
Since the Joy For All companion pets are in a league of their own with limited direct completion, they command higher than average toy pet price. But they are so much more than a toy and I personally feel the golden pup does represent value for money.

Verdict
I highly recommend the Joy For All golden pup as a companion pet dog. Its realistic looking face, detailed fur and natural movement does a great job of simulating a real pup’s behavior.
However I think that Joy For All could make a few improvements such as volume control for sound effects and adding more interactive features e.g. walking.
